Montfort Academy Goa with the assistance of post graduates from Nirmala Institute Panaji has launched a virtual counselling cell under the banner “VAYAM” on 21/08/2021. This was launched at the hands of Dr.Mahesh Pai, Principal, Govt. College of Home Science, Miramar. Bro.Jaico Gervais , Chairman of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel was also present. Bro.Shajan Antony was the guest of Honour for the occasion. The Director and Principal of Montfort Academy Bro.Prem sg explained the main concept, which is to connect people who are in emotional distress, with a counsellor from the VAYAM team, who will then guide and council the individual. Also, VAYAM’s aim is to uplift the youth to have sustainable livelihood through their career oriented programmes. The team of VAYAM is trained and supervised by Bro. Dr. Yuju Francis and Bro. Dr. Franky Noronha.
Chief Guest Dr. Mahesh Pai appreciated the initiative taken to launch VAYAM , and also expressed his happiness and praised the team for helping the people during pandemic. He assured full support from his side.
